CAREER BIO
As a member of the development management team, Mr. Paul Cenzoprano was part of the design and construction of the new Yankee Stadium. The new stadium opened on schedule in April 2009 and in its inaugural season the New York Yankees won their 27th World Series.
Mr. Cenzoprano played key management roles in all of the major design elements of the new Yankee Stadium such as the luxury suites and party suites, owner’s suite, conference center, museum, the New York Yankees dugout, clubhouse, as well as all the premium space clubs, restaurants, and retail spaces. As the principle Development Manager of the Stadium Premium Space & Retail Program, he completed the program on schedule, 12.5% under budget, and with no design and construction deficiencies.
The Premium Space & Retail Program represented the bulk of the prime stadium interior space fit out. It totaled 172,000 sq. ft. and was comprised of 75,000 sq. ft. of 11 different premium clubs and restaurants, including the Hard Rock Café and NYY Steak, as well as the 16,000 sq. ft. of retail space, including 2 Yankees retail stores, plus Steiner Sports Luxury Collectables Store, and the Peter Max Art Gallery. The Premium Program also included the 271 points of sale and 8,000 pieces of equipment, which comprised the 55 concessions, totaling 35,000 sq. ft., and the 18 cooking kitchen spaces, totaling 46,000 sq. ft.
In addition to the New Yankee Stadium, Mr. Cenzoprano has worked on other world class projects such as the Islip Federal Court House, a 860,000 sq. ft. building designed by Richard Meier; the Brooklyn Children’s Museum Expansion, the first LEED certified museum in New York City, which was designed by Rafael Vinoly; and one of the largest private estates in the United States, a 100,000 sq. ft., 65 acre, 12 building complex designed by Ferguson & Shamamian Architects located in Eastern Long Island NY.
Working in design and construction for over twenty-three years, Mr. Cenzoprano has saved millions of dollars for clients by utilizing value engineering, constructability review, competitive bidding process, and effective management of field operations. As an engineering graduate he has served in diverse design and construction management roles such as Development Manager, Design Manager, Architectural Manager, Design Coordinator, Project Manager, Superintendent, Scheduler, Value Engineer, Estimator, Procurement Manager, Cost Manager, and Mechanical Engineer.
Paul’s father built homes for over 55 years in the local community where they lived. Paul is most proud of the reputation for fairness, honesty, quality, and value his father received from the families he built homes for as well as from the workers he employed. It is with that example and profound influence that Paul has been immersed in the building process for nearly his entire life.
Paul takes great pride in inheriting his father’s strategy for lasting success, “always do extra”.
